Kirsten and Michael Westin Diplomat

Many thanks to Wes and Liz for the amazing photography for this wonderful wedding.  Here are so fabulous photos from their Weber Photogarphy blog…Joni
Kirsten and Mike are two of the most genuine and wonderful people we have ever been lucky enough to meet…and it is really a special day when we can take part in a wedding joining two such people.  Against the backdrop of the stunning grounds of the Westin Diplomat, surrounded by incredible family and friends, these two die hard Gator fans laughed and smiled, hugged and cried, and in general enjoyed every single second of their wedding day.
Ceremony venue: St David Catholic Church
Reception venue: Westin Diplomat
Wedding planning: Your Special Day by Joni
Bridal gown: Paloma Blanca
Bridal shoes: Badgley Mischka
Bridal jewelry: Nadri
Groom / Groomsmen tuxedos: Men’s Wearhouse
Bridesmaid gowns: Amsale

It truly makes the day special when a bride includes heirlooms in her wedding day attire. Kirsten used her mom’s prom purse as well as her grandmother’s handkerchief…so beautiful.

Their first look:

The details were impeccable in shades of pacific blue, burnt orange, deep plum and light green.

The band was absolutely incredible!!

The speech by the three best men was absolutely hilarious! They took a unified approach for their speeches, delivering a single speech and taking turns word by word :)

Aileen and Brian’s destination wedding at Vizcaya

January 30, 2012

Aileen and Brian live in Wisconsin, so what better location to have their winter destination wedding but at the incomparable Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami. As they are from out of state, the couple sought the assistance and expertise of Joni Scalzo of Your Special Day by Joni to help them coordinate and manage all aspects of their special day.

A Vizcaya wedding is truly magical. There is simply no other place like it anywhere. Its distinctly European feel is quite unique – this plus its amazing gardens is what draws couples to plan a Vizcaya wedding. The venue alone is so beautiful that there are literally endless places to photograph a bride and groom. We had a great time checking out some more popular spots as well as exploring some more unusual locations throughout Vizcaya. There is definitely no shortage of shooting locations at a Vizcaya wedding!

Here are just a few samples of the photos we took that day. I was thrilled to be a part of Aileen and Brian’s incredible Vizcaya wedding and would like to thank them as well as Joni for making it all possible.

Blaire and Mark in Hawks Cay

Blaire and Mark, a gorgeous and sweet couple were married in Hawks Cay.  It was a pleasure working with them – they are a great family, and I am especially in love with Debbie, the mother of the bride.  It was so much fun working with all of them.

Thankfully, the weather was fabulous and the wedding was wonderful..  Check out the surprise ending!

Beautiful photos by Joseph Vincent Photography, Video by Bobby Doyle,  gorgeous flowers by Petals by Panache and the wonderful Debbie Taylor Band rocking the night away made for a fantastic evening. Thanks to all of you
